Hello and welcome! I'm so glad you are here. It is the greatest privilege for me to walk with my clients through some of life's greatest challenges. Through the therapeutic journey, I will be here to help you better understand and navigate the struggles that you are are experiencing while uncovering how to make the changes that you need to in order to live a more peaceful and fulfilling life.

I approach Individual Therapy through a Narrative lens, where the client is the expert on his or her life. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and am certified in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Some of the issues that I treat are anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, stress, identity issues, and life transitions.

I also work with Couples on identifying dysfunctional patterns, developing healthy communication skills, issues relating to loss of connection and intimacy, infidelity, and I provide separation and divorce counseling. I am certified in IMAGO couples' therapy and also use the Gottman Method when working with couples. I have also worked with many couples that are part of the LGBTQ community.

As a Collaborative Divorce Coach and Parent Coach, I will work with you to help you and your co-parent move through the divorce process in a way that is respectful and effective at reaching your goals .

I hold a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts-Boston. I attend monthly professional consultation groups and also devote several weeks each year to trainings and professional development. I grew up in the D.C. area and western Africa.

I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, baking, and learning new things every day.

Creating and nurturing a strong therapist-client relationship is the biggest indicator of success in therapy. I hope that we are able to build this important relationship together!
